Ronan's 3rd Birthday.

Wow, I can't believe that my baby boy is 3! We had Ro's birthday party last night because Niamh had dress rehersal for her dance recital tonight. We had it at Pojo's playland and the kids had a blast! Thanks to all of our friends who came and had fun with us!! I made his birthday cake this year and the kids all loved it, Ro was more interested in taking the cars off the track than blowing the candles out!

I was laying in bed last night after the birthday party thinking about how quickly time goes by. It doesn't seem like 5 minutes since Ro was born and here he is getting ready to go to preschool in September!

The past few months since we found out about Ronan's sensory issues have been pretty exhausting and trying at times but I am so grateful for the privilage and blessing of being his Mam. There have been times lately when I have had a little pity party for myself. It is hard sometimes to see Ronan with other kids his age and notice how different he is. I have to admit that sometimes I wonder if I will ever hear him say "I love you" or do things like other kids his age.

Ronan is such a special boy and I am so blessed that Heavenly Father trusted me enough to allow me to be his Mother. He is so strong willed and I have to remind myself sometimes that he is such a valiant spirit who was saved especially for this time. He has a smile that lights up the whole room and is so loving and genuine . He is hard work at times and I can be so mad at him but the second he comes over and gives me a hug and a kiss it is all gone.

Thankyou Ronan, for being you! For teaching me how to be a better Mam and for always loving me, even when I make mistakes! I love you so much, you are a very special boy. xxxxx

Can you tell we didn't have naps??

Both of the boys fell asleep eating dinner! They looked so cute, even with food all over their faces!

Kian's Narnia Festival

Kian's preschool held a Narnia Festival at Edwards Cinema to celebrate the new Price Caspian movie coming out. They took pictures to send into Disney. The kids had to dress up as something from the movie and Kian wanted to be a Knight. He had to be there Monday morning at 9am and on Sunday night at 9pm I still had no idea what I was going to use for his costume. It turned out pretty cute though and Kian was excited. He had such a good time that he talked his Dad into taking him to see the film that afternoon. The kids loved it!

Mr Lee-man!

That is what Kian used to call Liam when he was born. He couldn't say Liam and however hard he tried it came out Lee-man. It kinda stuck and now when we are playing we call him Mr Lee-man. He was playing on the floor the other day and he looked so cute that I had to get a few pics of him.

He was quite happy until he noticed the camera and I wouldn't let him have it.....lol.

But look at that little face. Even though he is crying I love this pic, he looks soooo cute on it!

Niamh's Dance Pics

Niamh has her dance recital coming up at the end of May. On Saturday they did pictures at the dance studio, but she looked so pretty that I had to take a few of her before we left. I love her costume this year. She is going to be dancing to Shake, Rattle & Roll and Reflection (from Mulan).

What am I going to do when he is 15???

Yesterday I went to pick Kian up from preschool, his teacher was laughing so hard as she told me that Kian wouldn't play with Avery because she had "crazy hair" and she needed to tell her Mom to fix it!

On Saturday we stopped in Layton to eat at Sizzler. The waitress we had was about 19-20. She was really pretty and Kian wouldn't stop staring at her. He was actually turning around in his seat to look at her. He then turned to me and said, "Mom, that girl is soooo beautiful!" Argh, he is only 4, he's not supposed to like girls till he is a teenager!

Last night I went to Enrichment and Scott was in charge of dinner. This morning Kian and I had this conversation
Kian: "Dad fed us breakfast for dinner (he meant cereal) because him didn't want to cook in the kitchen because him's not a girl."
Me: "Excuse me!!! It's not just girls that can cook in the kitchen. Boys can cook too."
Kian: "No they can't, boys cook at Scottys and girls cook in the kitchen!"

I tried to let him know that it's not just girls that can cook in the kitchen but he wasn't having any of it. Looks like I need to make Scott cook a little more often!

What do you think???

I was bored yesterday afternoon so I decided to jazz up a mirror that we have hanging in our entryway.
Here's the finished product, I love the way it turned out! It was hard to get a picture of it though because the light was reflecting in the window, these are the best I could get.

Our trip to Utah

Last weekend was so much fun. Scott has been working so hard the past few months and we haven't been able to have a weekend away since before Liam was born. Scott's cousin was blessing his baby on Sunday in West Jordan so we decided that we would make a weekend of it. We drove down on Saturday morning and stopped in Layton for something to eat and to give the kids a little break. Then we continued down to Salt Lake and checked into our hotel. We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott. It was a pretty nice hotel and the kids had a blast at the pool. We swam for almost 2 hours and we were the only ones in there, it was awesome. Ronan has absolutely no fear. He loved to run and jump right into the deep end and we would not let Scott or I hold him. We had to make sure he was wearing his floaties all the time, he kept trying to take them off and jump in :( That boy is going to have me grey before I reach 30!
Kian loves swimming this time, last time he was afraid to move off the stairs ;) Niamh loves swimming and guess what, she even beat Scott in a race this time ;P

The only thing that spoiled our trip was the people in the room next door. They decided to have a party......until 4am!!! They were soooo loud it was crazy. We called down to the front desk and complained 4 times, finally at 4am they called security and asked them to leave.
Well you can probably imagine that very drunk people + security + 4am = a not very good situation. Yes the police did have to be called and we heard that there was over $600 worth of damage to the room.
So....my question is this, How do we always end up stuck beside these idiots? Out of all of the rooms in the whole hotel they ended up my us.....argh!!!
The rest of the weekend was great though. We went to the blessing on Sunday and then back to Jeff and Carrie's house for a luncheon. The kids had a great time playing with their cousins, they don't get to see them very often!

As much as I loved getting away for the weekend, I have to admit that on Sunday night it was great to be home and back in my own bed!
